Frequently asked questions

Getting started

How do I get Dracore?

Dracore is in a TestFlight beta for iPhone and coming soon to the App Store. Email support@dracore.app to request a beta invite. You will need Apple’s free TestFlight app.

How do I get my first egg?

A rescue egg waits on your pedestal when you begin. Open the Roost and tend it with Care, Warmth and Resonance until it is ready to hatch. You can find more eggs in Discover — search a region, or hunt for eggs in AR.

Which dragon will I hatch?

Eggs belong to one of nine elemental lineages — Storm, Fire, Ice, Water, Nature, Earth, Poison, Shadow and Radiant — each with its own species, such as Stormclaw, Briarhorn, Stoneback and Dawncrest.

How does my dragon grow?

Feed, groom and play with it to build your bond and keep it healthy. It gains levels and evolves from Hatchling to Adolescent to Adult.

Battles, crafting & duels

How do arena battles work?

Arena fights against wild dragons are turn-based. Choose actions such as Bite, Guard, Dodge, Reposition, Advance or Retreat. Win to earn spoils: resources, food, toys, rare equipment and sometimes wild eggs. If your dragon is exhausted, let it rest and return.

What can I craft?

Use resources to craft equipment such as charms, crests and harnesses, then equip them on your dragon.

How do I duel a friend?

In the Arena, choose Duel a friend. Online, use quick match or share a room code. Nearby, one warden taps Be visible nearby and the other picks them from the list — over Bluetooth, no internet needed.

AR & camera

Which devices support AR?

AR features need an ARKit-capable iPhone. The rest of the game works without AR.

What is AR Explore mode?

Walk around your space and follow glowing footprints to hidden eggs, equipment and caches. Finds are capped per day, so check back tomorrow for more. Please play in a safe, open area and stay aware of your surroundings.

Is my camera feed uploaded?

Never. All camera processing happens on your device. Camera images are not uploaded, stored by us or shared.

Progress, backup & privacy

Where is my progress saved?

On your iPhone. Dracore works fully offline. If you want a safety net, turn on Cloud Backup in Settings → Online — it is off by default. The server keeps your last 5 backup revisions.

How do I restore a backup?

On the device linked to your online account, open Settings → Online and tap Restore. This replaces the progress on that device with your latest backup.

Do I need an email or password?

No. Online duels and Cloud Backup use an anonymous account — a random ID and a secret token stored in your iPhone’s Keychain. We never ask for an email, password or real name.

Are there ads, tracking or purchases?

No ads, no third-party analytics or tracking, and no in-app purchases today. See Privacy and Purchases & Refunds.

Troubleshooting

  • “Could not reach the Dracore server.” Check your internet connection and try again. Offline play is unaffected, and backups retry automatically. For duels, try a nearby duel instead.
  • Nearby duel can’t find my friend. Keep both iPhones within a few metres with Bluetooth on, and make sure Dracore is allowed Bluetooth and Local Network access in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security.
  • AR can’t find a surface. Move your phone slowly across a clear, level, well-lit surface with some texture — a table or floor, not a blank wall. Check camera access in iOS Settings → Dracore.
  • The app crashed. If you are a beta tester, TestFlight will offer to send a crash report to us via Apple. Otherwise email us with the steps that led to the crash.

Delete your account & data

In the app: SettingsOnlineDelete online data. This immediately and permanently erases your online account and all cloud backups from our server. Progress on your device stays.

Deleting the app removes local progress. Delete online data before deleting the app, because the Keychain token may remain on iOS.
